Headshot Sessions FAQ

  • I have 2 main services for Headshot bookings 2 hrs and 3 hrs.

The 2 hr session is most popular and suitable for most scenarios. It’s a good amount of time ot get in, say hello, hang up clothing options andf then plenty of shooting time.

Some examples of why you may want the 3 hr shoot.

    • If you wanted to curl / straighten your hair or shave mid shoot a 3 hr session is probably more suitable.

    • If you know you want a large range of characters and casting types covered

    • If your apprehensive about having enough time to relax and really get into the shoot

  • All images are delivered in a web gallery within 24 hours.

Following your order, retouches will be completed within 7 to 10 days.

  • All single person headshot sessions are at my studio in Westcombe Park which is between Greenwich and Woolwich in south east London.

For directions and address see my Contact pgae

  • There is sometimes a confusion on this subject.

Some styles and genres of photography such as weddings might include all the images taken in the shoot fee.

Headshots in general from most professional photographers do not include the whole shoot in the fee and this is how I work.

My session fee has a set amount of included retouches with usage on those images. You will get to view all the images form your shoot with a watermark in your online gallery, but they are not for use professionally.

All my shoots have the option to purchase extra images @ £24 with the same retouching and usage included.

I do have discounts for large orders of 10+ images that can be discussed when you have the idea of your order list.

  • Retouching is a general term for when the raw image from a camera is finessed to remove imperfections or add style and colour.

In Headshots this generally means removing spots and blemishes, tidying tray hairs or correcting clothing and backgrounds.

Headshot retouching should be simple and realistic. I do not remove permanent features, change faces or features or overly soften and blur the skin.

  • The editing on my images is all part of the style of my images you see publicly.

Therefore, all retouching is done by myself or my preferred retouchers. The way my images are published are how peoples opinion of my photography is formed so I have to be very protective of it.

  • As a Photographer I own the copyright to all photos I take, but the session fee you pay provides you with a licence to fairly use the portraits for personal promotion. You cannot sell on the images for publications or commercial use without consulting with me first.

  • I have a whole page about How to Prepare for your shoot!

  • Yes absolutely!

I will show you images on the back of the camera throughout the shoot. I WANT your feedback on wether the look of the setup aligns with your brief and expectations. also i know you will want to check small styling things such as hair placement and make-up.

We will also review the images on the laptop occasionally so we can get a really clear picture of what we’ve achieved and what we still need to cover.
